ENGLISH This project is both a physical journey and an inner exploration. As I travel through South America, I capture life in its purest form—unedited, unfiltered, present. These long single-take films become living artworks: fragments of a deeper search for meaning, balance, and freedom. From these moments I create limited fine-art prints and fine-photo-prints, distilling passing emotions into timeless compositions. What you see is the path I walk; what you feel is the journey within—an open invitation to make the experience your own. 📍 Much of the day unfolds quietly. I eat, watch videos online, then return to work behind my laptop. Early on, I’m back at a garage: the alternator needs attention, and the drive belt is replaced as a precaution. Between these practical interruptions, the video lingers in the hostel. What I value here is the ease of contact—people speak, share space, and acknowledge one another without effort. Unlike hotels, where everyone seems enclosed in their own routine, a hostel feels open, informal, and human. En parcourant l’Amérique du Sud, je capture la vie dans sa forme la plus pure — non éditée, non filtrée, présente. Ces longs plans uniques deviennent des œuvres vivantes : des fragments d’une quête plus profonde de sens, d’équilibre et de liberté. Je mange, je regarde des vidéos, puis je retourne travailler sur mon ordinateur. Dès le début, je passe par un garage : l’alternateur pose problème et la courroie est remplacée par précaution. Entre ces nécessités, le film s’attarde sur la vie en auberge. Ce que j’apprécie ici, c’est la facilité du contact. Les échanges sont spontanés, simples. Während ich durch Südamerika reise, fange ich das Leben in seiner reinsten Form ein — unbearbeitet, ungefiltert, gegenwärtig. Diese langen One-Take-Aufnahmen werden zu lebendigen Kunstwerken: Fragmente einer tieferen Suche nach Bedeutung, Ausgleich und Freiheit. Was du siehst, ist der Weg, den ich gehe; was du fühlst, ist die Reise nach innen — eine offene Einladung, diese Erfahrung zu deiner eigenen zu machen. 📍 Der Tag bleibt ruhig und unspektakulär. Ich esse, schaue Videos und arbeite anschließend wieder am Laptop. Gleich zu Beginn führt mich der Weg erneut in eine Werkstatt: Die Lichtmaschine bereitet Probleme, der Keilriemen wird vorsorglich ersetzt. Dazwischen zeigt das Video den Alltag im Hostel. Was ich hier schätze, ist die Offenheit. Gespräche entstehen leicht, Menschen sind zugänglich.
