This video was formerly called "Richard Wolff Schools Jordan Peterson on Marx, at #JPCON" Half hour abridged version here: • Видео A very serious response to many of the commenters below... • MANLY (M)ANN responds to "Wolff schools Pe... Jordan Peterson said that the reason he cancelled on the scheduled debate with Douglas Lain of Zero Books was because ZB isn't popular enough. This does not explain why he went on the Rogan podcast weeks later to say Marxists won't debate him. So we scheduled a popular Marxist economist to debate Peterson, or speak in lieu of a debate. Dr. Richard Wolff came /at cost/, whereas Peterson said he would not debate Wolff for less than $50,000... obviously we, a student club, don't have that kind of money, so Wolff ended up speaking to us on his own. Wolff gave a crash course on what every responsible citizen, Peterson included, should know about capitalism, as shown by one of its most insightful critics. Don't forget to like, follow, and subscribe! Opening remarks by Theory Pleeb. Make sure to catch Pleeb and Ann's follow up project, the short satirical film called Heads Will Roll: • heads will roll PSA: Since this is getting recommended again, just to set the record straight: Wolff's talk was the keynote for JPCON. JPCON was organized by Theory Pleeb (who was, for a time, using an online alias "Lisa" before deciding "Pleeb" works better), Ann, and some volunteers (including our amazing cameraman so maligned in the comments below). We have to say this because Wolff and others have, on a few occasions in video, podcast, or article form, attributed this work to either the University itself, or to Zero Books. We had sponsorships from Student Government (like every student org does), the School of Public Service, and Zero Books, but those were just sponsorships, it wasn't their doing.
