One of my many bad ideas, this one originating from reading the ingredients on a package of pre-made hummus and seeing the kind of chemicals you'd need a chemistry degree to understand. But naturally, because I'm inconsistent, I used canned, pre-cooked chickpeas in this recipe rather than cooking my own. Oh well.
