Encoding an RFID Tag in Impinj's ItemTest Software

Fixed Readers are the workhorses in any RFID system, however they can be used for one-off tag encoding when needed. For example, in a Race Timing application - if the Race Timer doesn't have or bring a USB Reader, one of their Fixed Readers can be used to encode an RFID tag for a last-minute race applicant. This tutorial walks through encoding those one-off UHF RFID tags using an Impinj Fixed Reader and Impinj's ItemTest Software. This video begins in ItemTest and shows the user how to read a single RFID tag by clearing the read zone of extra RFID tags and/or turning down the transmit power of the RFID antenna being used.
