Hi guys! This is my Chinese and English two languages cover version of 漠河舞厅 Mohe Ballroom originally composed and performed by 柳爽 Liu Shuang. A little background about the song: Mohe is a town in Northeastern China which suffered a terrible fire that started in the nearby forest. The song tells the true story of a man who lost his wife in the fire and the feelings surrounding his loss. I found the way 柳爽 Leon Liu transformed this story into lyrics is simply beautiful. Using the metaphors of stars, and fireworks combined with deathly fire, feelings of loss and being trapped in a time warp for an entire lifetime, is both magical and tragic.
