"Lotus Flower" (Extreme Demon) by StarkyTheSalad & gecko0 | Geometry Dash 2.11

This is a very cool Extreme Demon level by StarkyTheSalad and zzzgecko (formerly genericqueso). The latter made the entirety of the gameplay, while the former did all of the decoration. I think their teamwork turned out well and made for a nice end product. The gameplay is, as you may be able to tell, unconvential and perhaps "weird," but I think that's fitting for the song at hand, which is Lotus Flower by Radiohead. Naturally, this is not available on Newgrounds, and the replacement song isn't very good. This will probably affect how RobTop rates it. If they can find a better one, I could honestly see this getting an Epic rating. StarkyTheSalad did a very good job of decorating the layout in my opinion, and that doesn't seem like an easy job considering its nature. I like how it sticks to almost entirely black backgrounds from start to finish, matching the vibe of the song. The foreground pulses and changes colors nicely to the beat. Synchronization to the song is probably most notable in the blocks that scale up and down, which are executed very well and make the gameplay unique. I also like the lanterns, lamps, and flowers (of course) seen in pretty much every part, which makes it a bit more thematic. Obviously, I'm nowhere near good enough to be able to judge the gameplay of this, and I was told it will probably be at least in the Top 20. In other words, this is very hard. I can imagine that it will be a divisive level in terms of gameplay, though, as it is very unique and those tend to be that way. Some people will probably find the "weird" gameplay interesting and enjoyable to attempt this, while others will not really give it a try at all. That's just a guess, though. Overall, this is a unique level that I'm happy to upload after Starky's request to me to do so. Special thanks to BrianTheBurger, who provided the footage after his verification.
