The very act of joining the palms at the heart and greeting one another with Namaste, is a gesture in which the thumbs point to the heart, while the other fingers point out signifying "I recognize the within YOU, who is the one within me". It is the recognition that we all stem from the same essence of the one among the many, although it's outer from is always changing.
