We’re Bram and Simon, two gay dads raising our one-year-old daughter in the beautiful south of France. Two years ago, we left everything behind to rebuild a forgotten farmhouse and transform an old stone barn into four rental apartments. It’s a dream, a challenge, and a lifestyle we’re building from the ground up, one project (and one mistake) at a time. Become a member of our Patreon to see more content or just to support our vlog: / vangaze This week, it’s all about rebuilding part of the barn’s damaged structure, pouring new foundations, and finally making progress on the roof. There’s welding, concrete, broken tools, and lots of laughter in between. But life here isn’t just renovation, our vegetable garden is thriving, and we’re harvesting green beans, kale, and bell peppers while learning (the hard way) that carrots don’t always cooperate! Through it all, we’re discovering what it means to live simply, grow our own food, and raise a little girl surrounded by nature, animals, and love. It’s far from perfect, but it’s real, a mix of hard work, messy days, and moments that remind us why we chose this life.
