eConsent Part 1: Converting Consent Forms to Images

Part 1 of a 4 part video series on eConsent. In REDCap, an electronic data capture tool used at NYU Langone, Electronic-Consent (eConsent) is a platform for consenting patients or research subjects either on-site or at home using a computer-based consent form rather than traditional paper documentation. Consent forms can be implemented in a REDCap survey via a computer, mobile phone, or tablet. IRB approval is needed to use eConsent, and not all studies may be eligible. These videos from the NYU Health Sciences Library provide an overview of the technical aspects of setting up eConsent in REDCap.
