A motorized slider is a staple for talking head content, but the subject is also speaking, emoting, acting possibly. With product video, we’ve got none of that. Camera motion is a really effective method of evoking or reinforcing an emotional response. What you give up in repeatability, you more than make up for in versatility! Austen Paul is an absolute beast with a camera slider btw, big inspiration fs! Also got a couple tips and tools that I just thrive on. Setting up a slider on a tripod, adding support arms, or simply doing two full-on tripods: it’s a pain in the ass there’s no easy way to put it. And many times it’s just too big a hassle to go through for one single parallax shot. This tip has saved me so much time! Then the AT-01 and 02 combo (sold together as the AT-03) make probably the best monitor stand for the iPad. Anywho, I hope y’all found this helpful.
