The essential requirements to achieving good quality joints: 1. Sufficient heat 2. Sufficient pressure 3. Sufficient welding and cooling time 4. Clean-to-clean material First, clamp both ends in the welding machine and ensure correct alignment. Trim both pipe ends using the planer. Wipe both ends to ensure clean to clean material bonding. Now insert the plate heater and put force on the plate to ensure full contact.
