Recorded in separate takes with a Neumann M147 microphone and Makai soprano ukulele, which seems to sound great in real life, and lose all of the magic in the recording process, no matter what. The ukulele bass was recorded DI with a tube tech preamp into a Burl B2 for both takes. Overall my impression of the Volt 476 vs The Neumann MT 48 is that the MT 48 sounds slightly better on vocals. Still prefer using the Burl B2 as a converter, but it's much more expensive and the difference is small. Starting to wonder why I'm doing all this A/B testing of music gear when Suno can write great sounding songs now, in hardly any time at all. Maybe just to fight the machines by creating something real and high quality.
