Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we have a 2016 Newmar Ventana LE. And when the customer brought it in, his steps weren't going down. So in the process, he was using a stepladder, which as you're coming in and going into your RV, it's quite a big step. So in order to get this working, it did require a new step control module. So we installed the Kwikee step control module for RVs on a motorized staircase. So let's take a look at the installation of it. The Kwikee step module is part of the actuating stair mechanism on the camper. So it is very crucial because even if your motor is good, but your module is bad, your stairs aren't going to work. So this may not be the first thing that you troubleshoot, but if you have a new motor or want to start diagnosing, this is something you want to look at. So it's pretty simple. As you can see here, you have 1, 2, 3 little screws there, and I'm using the existing hardware that was actually on the old module. And so with a quarter inch socket, you'll be able to zip these up and in place. Now you're also going to have a quarter inch on our small green wire, which is going to be our ground. We also have a chassis ground here. And when I went to put this in, it was coated with a fixed silicone. So I scraped away that, make sure that the surface is nice and clean and reused that as well. You also have this little plug here that goes to the under step light. And then we have our plug that goes to the actual chassis to let us know, to send the signal to open and close this. So with this in place, once we put our new motor, started working. And that's a look at the Kwikee step module on our 2016 Newmar Ventana..
