It is a cultural development and skill centre organised by a group of Rastafarians. They use the grounds to grow crops and use them to cook meals on site. They host events such as workshops and community building fairs all in benefits towards the children in the community and neighbouring communities. They continue to organise outreach programs teaching youth about agriculture, music, visual arts, crafts, reading & literature, history and health. Life Yard has become a centre for many to lounge and volunteer.
