Ferlazzo has been convicted of first-degree murder for allegedly killing his wife, Emily Jean, while the couple celebrated their one-year anniversary in Bolton back in 2021. The jury returned on Friday morning and listened to a 49 minute portion of Ferlazzo's testimony; it included the events of the night leading up to the alleged killing, the event itself and the following morning. Ferlazzo said he beleived Emily Jean was going to shoot him and acted in self defense. "I was holding my glock and she started coming up at me and I just fired," Ferlazzo said while testifying. After listening to the testimony again, the jury was sent back to continue deliberations. It took the jury less than two hours to reach a guilty consensus.
