Berklee Valencia graduate students perform an arrangement of Serkan Hakki MM ’24’s “Seven Hills” at Morning, Dew, Hope, Berklee Valencia’s commencement concert. Seven Hills reflects Hakki’s journey through Istanbul—a journey of transformation, much like the shifting rhythms of this melody. Istanbul, with its seven hills, carries the scent of history, a blend of cultures, and an air of magic. Morning, Dew, Hope was the first of three concerts held at the Teatre Martín i Soler in the Palau de les Arts, València, on Saturday, July 6, as part of the 2024 commencement celebrations—a remarkable farewell to the class of 2024. At the concert, students sang of ancient cities, guardians of crossroads, arches and pomegranate trees, strange flowers and seeds, and a river we surrender to, in order to reach the ocean. “Seven Hills” Composer: Serkan Hakki Arranger: Serkan Hakki Clarinet: Serkan Hakki Oud: Milad Ibdah Qanun: Tony Barhoum Violin: Sarah King and Franco Pinazzo Upright Bass: Ales Cesarini Drums: Marco Falcón Artistic Director: Magdalini Giannikou Musical Director: Enric Alberich, Iván Cebrián, and Albert Palau For more information about Berklee's campus in Valencia, Spain, and its master's degree programs, visit https://valencia.berklee.edu. _____________________________ Follow us on: Facebook: / berkleevalencia Twitter: / berkleevalencia Instagram: / berkleevalenciacampus Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/berklee...
