BOY GEORGE Covers THE CRYING GAME From the Film Titled After the Song in Orlando, Florida 9/22/2024

Boy George tells the story on how the Pet Ship Boys invited him to cover The Crying Game. They produced it and it was one of three versions of the song used in the Oscar winning film of the name name. Boy George covers The Crying Game in the Walt Disney Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in downtown Orlando, Florida on September 22, 2024. The Crying Game was written by English Songwriter and Producer Geoff Stephens in 1964 and was first recorded and released by English rock singer Dave Berry who released it on his self named debut solo studio album, released in July 1964. Boy George covered it in September 1992, and it was released on the Soundtrack album of the film. The single reached number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 1 in both Canada and Iceland, the biggest solo hit that George achieved in the US and Canada.
