How Potters Make Traditional Earthenware Pottery, Terracotta Pottery Painting and Glazing Process

This video shows the complete process of terracotta pottery making. The potters are making terracotta plates in this factory from raw clay or mud. They start with mixing the mud clay with water in a purpose built mixer and then they filter it to get a good quality clay for pottery. Then potters take that clay and throw it on a potter wheel with a mold. After filling a lot of molds they put these in direct sunlight to dry for some hours. After drying the pottery potters start painting the clay plates by using their own techniques. After painting the pottery they transport all the mud plates to the roof for glazing. Potters start soaking pottery in the glaze mixture and let it dry for some hours. After drying potters prepare the kiln to fire the pottery. Potters stack earthenware pottery plates in the kiln with their own specific techniques. After stacking the pottery in the kiln they put it on fire. After two days they open the kiln and bring out the glazed pottery.
