INVITATION: Join our Facebook group called SHINY CRAFTY PEOPLE and share your own great work! Even if it's not mask-related, we want to see it! Here's the link: / 487725342189414 AND NOW, FOR TODAY'S VIDEO.... Hello Shiny, Crafty People! Welcome back! Today I'm making an easy (or easier-than-you-would-think) seat cover for my car so that I don't get the nice seats messy after going to the gym or the beach. I think I've got a total of $8 in materials in each one of these, as I can get a few out of a blanket from IKEA and a few feet of 420 denier nylon packcloth. We buy the packcloth wholesale, so your price might be a bit higher, but you can also substitute duck cloth or a treated canvas or even ripstop nylon. IKEA Polarvide Throw ($3.99): https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/polarvid... Here's what you'll need: An outer fabric (I chose the absorbent throw from IKEA, linked above) An inner fabric (I like something water-repellant) Sewing Machine Marking Pen Scissors or Rotary Cutter If I'm not recording a video, I can make one of these covers in about fifteen minutes, but I've been sewing for about 30 years and I have already taken the measurements. If you account for the time it would take to do the measurements of your seat, it's probably a 45-60 minute job. I hope you enjoy this project and, until next time, stay crafty!!
