Piyali is a pristine island in West Bengal. Covered in lush greenery and boasting of surreal natural beauty, the island is an ideal weekend getaway and is a haven for birdwatchers. Nestled at the confluence of the rivers Matla and Piyali, the mangroves covered Piyali Island can be reached by crossing a small bridge atop river Piyali. The island provides peace and tranquility like no place else and is also considered the gateway to the renowned Sundarbans National Park. In addition to this, you can spot exotic birds as the place is home to a wide variety of bird species and/or go boating in the Piyali river.
