Triplicane is known for hosting some of the popular tourist attractions of the city like the Marina Beach, Parthasarathy Temple, Dr MGR Memorial, M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Vivekananda Statue and Park, and Anna Memorial Arch. Triplicane is situated on the coast of the Bay of Bengal. While the coastline borders the eastern side of the locality, Cooum river is on the northern side.
