Epic Sunrise Shoot: Grand Pré and Waterfall in Autumn Adventure for Landscape and Nature Photography

I finally made it out for a sunrise shoot, and the lighting was incredible. Between the demands of work and family, sunrise sessions are a rare treat—but they’re often the best for landscape photography. My destination was Grand Pré, a place I’ve attempted to visit before. Northern Lights chases, Comet A3, and even a rainy forecast have all derailed previous plans, but this time, everything aligned perfectly. Join me as I explore Grand Pré in daylight for the first time! While I’ve photographed the Northern Lights and Milky Way here before, I’ve always wanted to capture it at sunrise. I came away with some fantastic images, including one that’s made it to the cover of my 2025 calendar (available for pre-order on my website—a more official announcement is coming soon!). After exploring the Chapel grounds, I finished the day at a waterfall that, surprisingly, had a decent water flow despite the dry spell.
