"Harold and I aren't exactly world travelers but when we retired last year we promised ourselves we were going to live a little our best friends Tom and Irene are Canadian winters so they always had south when it started to snow they said "Let's go!" and packed our bags for a bit of adventure, we enjoyed Mount Rushmore Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon but when Tom and Irene said next we were heading to Los Algodones, Mexico I was well scared "What do you want to go to Mexico for?" we asked, Irene said "we're going to see our dentist at Sani Dental Group we go there every year because the dentists are so good and the prices are amazing". So, Tom and Irene dragged Harold and me across the border not knowing really what to expect but kind of fearing the worst if you know what I mean when we actually saw Los Algodones we were relieved. It was interesting and so colorful it was Mexico all right but we were surprised by how safe it felt and how many Canadians and Americans we met who were also there to take care of their teeth. -The Mexican people were friendly and helpful and when we arrived at Sani Dental Group office we were surprised by how modern everything was the staff at Sani even invited us to have a free dental evaluation. I sat right down and opened my mouth, if I didn't know I was in Mexico I would have thought I was in Canada. -The dentist spoke English and made me feel relaxed, everything just sparkled, I couldn't believe the high level of technology I saw equipment that some of our dentists back home don't even have. They told us a little about the history of the place and how they got started, then they showed us their high-tech laboratory where all the crowns and devices are made when they told us that they could replace Harold's old upper denture with implants and a permanent bridge we were thrilled especially when we heard the prices we didn't mind at all staying a couple of extra days and guess what they offered to put us up at their cute little boutique Hotel Hacienda Los Algodones while Harold's work was being done.
