TI-Kenya has been implementing phase 3 of the Restore Ethical and Accountable Leadership (REAL) project in Kenya since May 2025 with support from Uraia Trust through the Danish Development Agency (DANIDA) -funded strengthening Public Accountability and Responsiveness in Kenya (SPARKe) programme. The main goal of the programme was to sustain citizens' actions for responsiveness and accountability in Kenya’s public spaces through proactive anti-corruption mechanisms. Phase 3 of the project was a buildup and continuation of the previous 2 phases of the project and concluded in October 2025. The third phase of the project had two key objectives, namely: To advocate for increased Constitutionalism and adherence to the rule of law through progressive jurisprudence on national values and principles of governance and, To sustain citizen-duty bearer engagements for enhanced transparency, responsiveness, and participatory governance. The project’s geographical scope included Nairobi, Mombasa, and Uasin Gishu Counties. The final phase thus focused on consolidating gains made in the previous reporting periods while advancing targeted advocacy engagements with Civil Society Organization Networks and duty bearers to enhance democracy and rule of law.
