1 Second Everyday | USNA | 2018 (1JAN-31JUL)

This past spring semester challenged me unlike any other thus far. Before spring break, I broke the fifth metatarsal in my left foot (which eventually required surgery) and I was forced off of my feet for the following four months. It was an incredibly frustrating period of my life to be so physically limited at an institution that heavily favors constant action. However, looking back on that time, I clearly didn't allow it to limit my Academy experience, friendships, or sense of adventure and curiosity. During those 4 months, I was still able to travel to Nicaragua on a mission trip, chase severe weather and storms across the Great Plains, and spend valuable time with my classmates and family. This summer I made new friends, spent a month training in sunny San Diego over PROTRAMID, and ended with a few days at home before beginning the long drive to the United States Air Force Academy where I will be spending a semester on exchange. My time at the Naval Academy is flying by, and I can't wait to see what adventures the future holds.
