Cycling across Indonesia - A Bike Touring Adventure from Jakarta to Lombok - Cycling during Ramadan

We cycle across Java, Bali and Lombok for 6 weeks, as part of our bike touring adventure around the world. Starting out by navigating the traffic and laneways of Jakarta, we ride across northern Java, exploring new foods and taking in the volcano lined landscapes, on our way towards Bali. We cross Bali from north to south, experiencing the Hindu Galangal festival on our way, which sees the streets decorated in offerings to the gods, in a celebration of good over evil. We pass through the Gili islands on our way to Lombok, where we ride a lap of this beautiful island during the Muslim month of Ramadan.
