America's Oldest Residential Street - Elfreth's Alley 4K Walking Tour | Philadelphia, PA

Welcome to America's Oldest Residential Street located in Old City, Philadelphia in the east side near I-95, Front Street & the Delaware River. From Elfreth's Alley Museum: Elfreth's Alley dates back to 1703 and is an exceptional collection of early American structures built between 1720 and 1836. Most of the homes are privately owned residences, but #124 and #126 are the Elfreth's Alley Museum, run by the Elfreth's Alley Association. The Association was founded in 1934 to preserve and protect the Alley and tell the story of its inhabitants, who were primarily artisans and working-class laborers. The Alley receives over 300,000 annual visitors from all over the world. It's a beautiful street with amazing historic buildings that people still reside today.
