Woah! Cool fight. Completely switched up my plans from everything else I've done in the game to deal w/ Simon. Realizing Simon could Genei Jin/Sougenmu was pretty thrilling the first time it happened and then wiping my expedition was likewise surprising. Felt high level for this fight, not sure tho, and I employed some strategies I think are obvious but I have looked up nothing about this game. It was okay. Don't love this kinda fight for this kinda game, and the whole thing took me maybe a dozen hours to get right and not die. At the very beginning of the video I disable the 2x health modifier, mainly because my last attempt took ***45 minutes***. This was my 2nd attempt getting to uhhhh "phase 3", when he wipes your expedition. You can see me change my strategy at the beginning of the video to accommodate that reality. Chose to offer Sciel & Maelle upon the metaphorical altar, and this attempt took 35 minutes because I accepted the first 1.5 phases would take a lot longer w/ just those two helming things since I had used Verso, Monoco, & Maelle before I learned that they'd get wiped haha. I really enjoyed using burn for this encounter since I set the damage cap at 999,999 so breaking that was a challenge. Lune's Lightning Dance & Elemental Genesis were great ways to get beyond it, as well as Verso's Angel Eyes, but those were only really relevant for the last 4th of the fight. I guess Sciel & Maelle carried then... For Sciel I used a loop of entering twilight, using Shadow Bringer, and then cashing out with Twilight Dance for about 1.3Mil to 2Mil dmg. Beyond that Maelle used a few Gommages and then I guess I just didn't die. Shoutout Sciel haha. She was always my favorite character so I'm glad she should take me through Simon lol
