Who or what this entity is will serve as the final raid boss of the Garden of Salvation raid and is a member of the true Darkness that caused the Collapse for humanity centuries ago and crippled the Traveler. (Garden of Salvation Raid Prelude) Edit 10/28: The entity speaking to us was not the final boss of the Garden of Salvation raid. Instead, the artifact that triggered this moment with The Darkness was calling out to a location deep within the Black Garden and at the end of the raid, after facing the wrath of the Sol Inherent (Vex closer to The Darkness) we would find another statue like the one we saw in the Pyramid ship, cloaked in a black veil. The artifact would continue to be studied by Eris Morn and soon enough, it's voice would now be directed at us and we receive messages from an unknown source (likely to be The Darkness itself) which can be viewed in the lore book entitled: "Unveiling". This would then be followed by a massive Vex Offensive being unleashed, as the Sol Divisive would begin pooring onto the surface of the moon from the Black Garden, beginning Season of the Undying.
