William boarded the train late at night, his coat soaked from the relentless downpour outside. The station was nearly empty, and the dim lights flickered as the wind howled through the cracks of the old building. He pulled his collar tighter against his neck as he climbed into the last compartment, the wheels of his suitcase clattering behind him. The train's whistle echoed into the stormy night, a haunting sound that sent chills down his spine. The compartment was dimly lit, casting long shadows across the worn-out seats. William was the only passenger in this car, or so it seemed. He found a window seat, his reflection staring back at him as raindrops raced down the glass. Thunder rumbled in the distance, growing closer with each passing second. As the train jerked into motion, the storm outside intensified. Lightning flashed, briefly illuminating the vast countryside through which the train barreled forward. The clatter of the wheels against the tracks became hypnotic, almost comforting, but the storm was far from it. The wind lashed against the windows, and the trees outside bent under its fury. William tried to relax, but something gnawed at the edge of his consciousness—a sense of unease. He glanced down the dark corridor of the train, expecting to see only shadows, but for a brief moment, he thought he saw a figure at the far end. It was gone as soon as he blinked. The storm raged on, and the train seemed to push through it like a ship battling the waves of a stormy sea. William’s heart raced as the train’s lights flickered, casting the compartment into momentary darkness. He heard footsteps—soft, almost inaudible—approaching. His breath caught in his throat as he strained his ears. Was it his imagination, or was there someone else on the train? Suddenly, the door to his compartment creaked open. A gust of wind rushed in, cold and sharp. William’s eyes darted to the door, but no one was there. The storm outside roared louder, thunder crashing so violently that it rattled the windows. He stood up, hesitating for a moment, before walking to the door. "Is someone there?" he called out into the empty hallway. No response, just the echo of his voice swallowed by the howling wind. William felt a strange pull, as if the storm itself was alive, drawing him deeper into the train. He moved cautiously, his footsteps soft on the carpeted floor. Another flash of lightning lit up the corridor, and this time, he was sure—he saw someone at the far end. A tall figure, standing still, watching him. Heart pounding, William hurried back to his compartment and shut the door, locking it behind him. He sat back down, trying to shake off the fear. The train continued to race through the night, but now, the storm outside seemed less terrifying than whatever was inside. The door rattled again. 00:00:00 Out Side View 00:06:52 InSide View ----------------------------------------- This video was created using imagery from the game Red Dead Redemption 2.
