Has Sim Update 3 fixed the high VRAM usage in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024? To find out we’ll be taking our Fenix A320 to Edinburgh V2 from Pyreegue, the pair often representing a worst case scenario in the sim as we directly compare Sim Update 2 to the current (at the time of recording) beta of Sim Update 3. We’ll be testing using my 4080 Super with it’s 16GB of VRAM and also testing with the AMD 7900XTX with a much larger 24GB of VRAM to see what kind of VRAM usage we see on a card that’s potentially VRAM constrained like the 4080 Super, vs a card with much more to spare, like the 7900 XTX. We’ll also be looking at resizable bar to see if turning that off has an impact on VRAM usage.
