Exploring Beirut, Lebanon in 2022: NOT what you think!

Lebanon – a country I never thought I’d visit so early. I didn’t know anything about this small nation in the middle east. I only heard about Beirut in context of the explosion in 2020 and of course people told me it’s super dangerous there. But surprise surprise: Beirut is an incredible city and I would love to visit again. After watching the video myself though, I have to say that I didn’t talk enough about the gravity of the economic situation in the country. The local currency is super fragile and everyone that doesn’t get paid in USD has no chance to live a good life. Also, the whole country has a big electricity shortage, which is also caused by the economic situation. Unfortunately, I only learned about the gravity of this topic in the last evening in the country (after coming back from Syria) so it’s not part of the video.
