Microbrands — Can you LOVE them and HATE them? Teddy Baldassarre made a recent article “60 Best Microbrand Watches - A Complete Guide for 2024” talking about his choices for the best Microbrand watches. This is a touchy subject for me… I think Microbrands have so much to offer the watch community — but sadly, I don’t think there are many Microbrands that live up to this potential. Most Microbrands are nothing more than homage watches to popular luxury watches — Nothing new offered… No special material, No special complication, just a flashy look for a cheap price. That’s not what I want in my Microbrand.  Thankfully, there are some Microbrands that offer unique materials, special complications, and unique designs that aren’t just a copycat of a more well-known brand ( cough cough… ROLEX ). I applaud those brands. For the majority of the other Microbrands out there… This video highlights the pitfalls of buying those kind of brands.
