Three days drifting the river in a raft chasing Australian bass on fly while camping along the banks. Our goal for this trip was simple, target bass in remote water, live out of the raft, and see what the river had to offer. During the trip, we encountered Eastern cod. These fish are a protected, no-target species, and we do not intentionally fish for them. Any cod hooked during this adventure were released immediately and handled with extreme care to ensure their safe return to the water. This trip was all about exploration and experiencing a wild stretch of river by raft, camping, drifting, and letting the current decide the journey.
