Let Us March On! | "Healing" performed by Unity Choir

The Turtle Creek Chorale presents "Let Us March On!" featuring the world premiere of "Dreamland: Tulsa 1921" July 2 & 3, 2022 Meyerson Symphony Center The Unity Choir (a program of Project Unity) joined the Turtle Creek Chorale in "Let Us March On!" — a concert that explored the continuing topics and challenges people of color face in our communities and country. Through a dynamic mix of storytelling and powerful music, this production explored how we can acknowledge our past mistakes, and assumptions, on race and work together to achieve a brighter future for all of us! The concert also presented the World Premiere of a major new work for choir, orchestra, and actors — “Dreamland: Tulsa, 1921” — which tells the story of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. Crafted by composer Marques Garrett and librettist Sandra Seaton, this new work is both a remembrance of things past and and acknowledgment that we we need to do going forward.
