Freightliner M2 - Leach Alpha-III Garbage Truck

Catching some commercial rear load action was a high priority on my most recent Portland adventure, and what better candidate than this Portland Disposal & Recycling Leach Alpha-III on a Freightliner M2 chassis being operated by none other than our very own ‪@Simcobarker‬! Often times, big cities - especially the older cities - feature some of the most unique waste collection methods and scenarios, due in large part to infrastructure that predates modern advances in waste collection, or transportation in general for that matter, as well as individual scenarios being grandfathered in over the years - a lot of "if it's not broke, don't fix it" mentality that I full-heartedly appreciate. As such, I wanted to be able to come away with a video that truly captured the epitome of commercial and multi-family waste collection in the Portland Metro, and with a lot of hard work and careful planning, I do believe I was able to achieve just that. I was careful to choose a route day and area that featured the broadest spectrum of unique collection scenarios, and the end result is this delightfully action-packed mix of 1- and 2-yard dumpsters, utilizing the classic fold-out Heil Arm mechanism - a system almost entirely exclusive to Oregon these days, as well as some pack-out stops, in-ground cans, carts and cans up flights of stairs, hidden trash rooms, downtown commercial carts, and even a bulky item pickup just for good measure! I personally am beyond stoked on how this video came out, and I hope you all are able to enjoy it with just as much enthusiasm as well!
