How to Point and Flute a Rifle Stock Comb | The Model 67 Project | MidwayUSA

Pointing and fluting the comb is an easy way to improve the appearance of any rifle stock. Larry Potterfield, CEO and Founder of MidwayUSA, demonstrates the process in this GunTec presentation. He starts by cutting the point of the comb to be about 130 degrees with a smooth file, and then blends the top of the wrist with a round file. A line is then drawn on the stock from the mouth of the flute to the toe. A round file is used to cut the flutes along this line with each flute being about an inch in length.
