Shotover Park Scrambling/Scramble Events in the 1950s, Nr Oxford, and Motorbike Trials, F904

There was once a large and very popular motorbike scramble circuit at Shotover Park, near Oxford, whose events in the 1950s attracted many thousands of visitor. Here we see footage from the early 1950s showing at least some events at Shotover (there may be others). This looks to me to be 500CC or possibly 350cc events. And you can make out at least one club sporting OXF vests which I assume is related to Oxford in some way. It is not impossible that this is part of a competition between Oxford and Cambridge in 1950...and it may be that rider 31 is Ron Slater who competed during this era. Today the roar of large capacity British scramble bikes are heard no more here. Yet despite the one time popularity of this venue, I can find no footage from the location on tintnerweb. So here is some.
