Set against the rugged fells and quiet becks of Cumbria’s Little Langdale Valley, this short film follows two childhood friends, James and Adeline, reuniting after a year apart. Beneath the surface of their platonic bond lies a tension that neither can fully name: the lingering “what if” of young love, nostalgia for a past that feels both close and unreachable, and the futures pulling them in opposite directions. Told with quiet intimacy and rooted in the landscapes of rural northern England, this film is a meditation on friendship, belonging, and the tender spaces between love and memory. Music from young Lake District and Yorkshire artists, and made by a team of childhood friends from the Lake District.
