Seasonal allergies can be treated with over-the-counter allergy medications, such as Benadryl and Claritin. However, these common brands can be classified into two types of drugs: 1st generation and 2nd generation antihistamines, each with different characteristics. This video was made by McMaster University students Fayth Frank, Kimberly Fung, Jasnoor Ghuman, and Abbas Hassanali in collaboration with the Demystifying Medicine McMaster Program.
