From our archives! As part of our travels in 2021 in Turkey, while I worked remotely, my Filipino girlfriend had just $10 for the entire day to explore Gaziantep (where I am from) 🇹🇷😱 No tour guides. No help. Just local culture, curiosity — and she had to speak Turkish to make it work. With that $10, she: • Visited museums 🏛️ • Explored Gaziantep markets and streets • Spoke with locals and learned about daily life • Made Katmer with a real Turkish chef 🍰 • Visited Gaziantep Castle 🏰 • And somehow… still managed to pay for dinner for both of us in the evening 😱 Prices have changed so much since! This vlog turned into one of the most cultural, fun, and surprising days we’ve had in Turkey — proof that you don’t need much money to experience real local life.
