Tim Border has taught in the Department of Professional Sales at Weber State University since 1992. Over the last 25 years Tim has consulted many Fortune 500 companies and government agencies throughout the world in the areas of sales, customer service and leadership. He has also owned several successful businesses and has extensive field experience in sales and negotiations. Tim loves to write music and has written over 20 original songs that have been recorded on his CD called "Whatever You Dream". He also loves extreme sports such as going inverted on his wake board and racing motorcycles in the desert. He lives by the mantra "go big or go home". In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
