Growing up, I struggled deeply with anxiety—even though, on paper, I had a good life. God blessed me with a loving family, a strong community, and a beautiful church family. Yet I was constantly anxious about the future, my purpose, and what might happen next. The fear of the unknown followed me everywhere. What eventually changed everything for me wasn’t a technique or a mindset shift—it was learning about the character and sovereignty of God. In this video, I share how understanding God’s sovereignty became a game-changer in my battle with anxiety. This is a bit of a side quest as I continue learning Reformed theology, but it’s one that has deeply impacted my everyday life and faith. We’ll look at how Scripture describes God’s sovereign rule over: • Random situations (Proverbs 16:33) • Nature (Psalm 135:6–7) • Animals (Matthew 10:29) • Nations (Psalm 33:10) • Human decisions (Proverbs 16:1) We’ll also talk about two comforting truths about God’s sovereignty: • God’s rule is governed by His perfect wisdom (Romans 11:33) • God’s sovereignty is never separated from His justice and mercy (Isaiah 30:18) As John Piper says, “God is all-powerful and authoritative in control over every man, power, or authority.” My name is LJ, and this is the Romans 12 Initiative, where our goal is simple: to renew our minds so that we can be transformed into the image of Christ (Romans 12:1–2). If you struggle with anxiety, control, or fear of the unknown—or if you’re learning Reformed theology alongside me—this video is for you. 👉 Subscribe if you’re learning theology with me 👉 Comment respectfully—I’m still learning 👉 Share this with someone who needs encouragement #anxiety #sovereigntyofgod #christiantheology #reformedtheology #christianbelief #bibleverse
