Building software is one thing—getting the right software delivered is another. As a founder, you can’t afford to be surprised when your product is finally in your hands. In this video, I cover three key factors that ensure your development team delivers an application that meets your vision and works as intended. 1. Consistent Development Intervals – Too often, development teams work for weeks or even months before showing any progress, leading to big surprises. You should be reviewing work weekly or every other week to keep everything aligned with your vision and catch issues early. 2. Proximity to Your Dev Team – This isn’t about physical location. If your development team isn’t closely connected to you and your feedback, misalignment happens. The further they are from your communication and involvement, the higher the risk of getting a product that doesn’t meet expectations. 3. You Must Test Your Own Product – No one understands your vision better than you. Developers and QA teams test functionality, but as a founder, you need to make sure the application actually solves the problem you set out to fix. If you’re not hands-on with testing, you’re taking a huge risk. If you want a better product and fewer surprises, these three principles are non-negotiable. Want to connect?
