For me it has helped keep the water clear. My pond is a pop-up pond that only takes a short time to put together. It takes longer to fill it and where I have put it the sun shines all day so I may move it, but the filter and pump is helping with that for now. I have included a clip of my old floating pump I had for comparison, sounded nice and looked ok but it didn’t help with the cleaning side. I cleaned it after 3 weeks of use, it didn’t need it really but thought I would check it to see. I will probably leave it a little longer next time. It would be nice if it had a backup battery pack so it would still run into the evening a bit longer, I do think they are available.
