Beacon Rock is an incredible day hike or weekend hike. It's a fairly easy 1.1 mile round trip hike, that you could bust out in an hour so you can hit other hikes in the area... like maybe the Hamilton Mountain Hike RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET! There are so many great hikes in the gorge, it's hard to pick just one. The paths on this hike are clearly marked and human man for a solid portion of the walk. Handrails accompany you almost the entire time up the mountain and the top is completely surrounded with them. I think this is a great hike for anyone because the hike to view ratio is great!
