These things have quite a following. With Philips CDM-9 magnetic drive, swing arm mechanisms and also Philips TDA-1541 A S1 Single Crown DAC ICs, they are bound to sound nice. I have now paired it with Sudgen C-51 preamp and P-51 power amp which drive Gale 401B speakers and it is sublime, particularly on and old, end of 50s and 60s recordings. It is more analogue than any TT and tube system ;-) But the big lesson is that CDM-9 should be set at 0.3mW, which is 3 times as much as most of the other lasers.
