Krithi: Ra Ra Rajeeva lochana Ragam: Mohanam Thalam: Adi Composer: Mysore Vasudevacharya Vocal: R Ganesh Sri. R Ganesh Born on 24th May 1968 in Mettur, Salem District to Sri M Radhakrishnan, a musician, singer, drama artist and enthusiast and R Vasantha, a creative handicraft artist and critical carnatic music Rasika. He Belongs to the family lineage of Great Composers Shri Kavikunjara Bharathigal and Shri Koteeswara Iyer, who was the first to compose krithis in all the 72 melakartha ragas. He started training under Shri.P.Mahalinga Iyer at Thanjavur. And Vidwan.Thirukkarugavoor Shri.G.Srinivasaraghavan at the age of 10. Had "Gurukulavasa" system of training from the Great Maestro Padmashri Sangita Kalanidhi Maharajapuram Shri.Santhanam for six years. It was a golden period for Dr Ganesh to learn from the Greatest of Greats in the field of Carnatic music Shri Maharajapuram Santhanam. Had the good fortune to accompany his Guru Shri Maharajapuram Santhanam as Vocal Support from August 1987 till June 1992 including the one at Swami Dayananda Matriculation School, Manjakkudy on 23rd June 1992 which happened to be the last concert of the Great Maestro. Has started giving individual music concerts throughout India after 1992 and has been performing in leading music institutions in India and abroad. He is a regular performer and an artiste with grade ‘A’ in All India Radio and Doordarshan. His wife Mrs Deepa Ganesh, a professional carnatic singer and a music teacher creating many budding carnatic artists. Violin: M A Sundareswaran Mridangam: M S Sekhar Morsing: M Sundar In this krithi, Vasudevacharya praises Lord Rama as the supreme soul and the divine consort of Sita. He declares his unwavering devotion, affirming that he has always placed absolute faith in Rama alone. With deep emotion, he calls out to Rama as the lotus-eyed protector of the humble and the compassionate savior of those in distress. Despite his steadfast devotion, the composer expresses sorrow at not yet receiving Rama’s grace and earnestly pleads for divine attention and protection. The composition extols Rama’s noble virtues, supreme nature, and divine beauty, while also recalling his heroic deeds especially the destruction of Ravana and the salvation of his devotees. Ultimately, it stands as a fervent cry for mercy and a reaffirmation that Rama is the sole refuge and strength of the true devotee.
