There's also a really nice option. You can import a shape file or a KML file into the image. And so now it's going to crop this area and it'll make this outside area transparent like the null values. But let's say you have imagery outside of that polygon and you just want to go ahead and use the imagery, you could just check this box and it just squares off the polygon so that you'll get all imagery. Another nice option is let's say you have a large mosaic and you want to crop out 20 polygons on it, you could load that up and select that and it'll create a MrSID file with those 20 crops in the MrSID file. You can also check this box and it'll make 20 separate MrSID files using each polygon. So, it's kind of a nice option if you have a bunch of data you want to extract out. You can do it all at once. You don't have to sit there and do one at a time. And there's also some preferences that you can put in, if you're one of the options that I always check are these make a world file and XML file. So no matter with all of the MrSID files you generate it'll create a world file and an XML file. XML file is valuable because a lot of your GIS software like ArcGIS, they like reading that XML file to bring your image in correctly into their software. I also want to show there's also a LiDAR option and with the LiDAR option you can compress the image as a lossless and again that's where it leaves everything the same. It just removes some redundancy in that LiDAR format. It's kind of nice. But you can also do a compression ratio as well. And if you use the compression ratio, what it does then is it starts to remove some of the points in the LiDAR data in a very organised systematic way. And it's really nice for some of your LiDAR data that's collected in a large quantity especially with the drone LiDAR collections and some of the aerial LiDAR collections, Now they're so dense you don't really need all those points and this is a very nice quick way to reduce those number of points make the data easier to store easier to work with.
