Date of Journey of Dungarpur Rajasthan - 8th September 2025 Fatehgadi - We started our day from the hilltop fort in Dungarpur, offering panoramic views of the town and surrounding hills. Built as a symbol of strength and defense, it reflects Rajput architecture and stands as a reminder of the region’s royal heritage. Badal Mahal, located on the banks of Gaib Sagar Lake in Dungarpur, is a beautiful palace built of white marble and local green stone. Breakfast - Enjoyed local flavors at Maa Ambica Dal Vada Center, famous for its crispy Dal Vada. Shri Nathji Temple in Dungarpur is one of the important temples dedicated to Lord Krishna. It is believed that the original idol of Shrinathji was kept here for protection during the Mughal attacks before being moved to Nathdwara, making it a site of deep spiritual significance. At this place we met Mr. Virendra Singh Bedsa ji, who guided us for 2 hours. Juna Mahal - Entry Fee: ₹350 per person - It is also known as the Old Palace, is a 13th-century seven-storied fort-palace in Dungarpur. Famous for its detailed fresco paintings, ornate interiors, and historic rooms like the Darbar Hall and Tosha Khana, it offers a glimpse into the rich Rajput heritage. The palace also houses a crystal gallery and old royal photographs, making it a must-visit for history and art lovers. Lunch - Had lunch at Jodhpur Restaurant – tried the spicy Jodhpuri Paneer along with Dal. Visited the Car Museum inside Udai Bilas Palace, showcasing an amazing collection of vintage cars. Udai Bilas Palace - This hotel is in Dungarpur, Rajasthan. We booked our accommodation here. The temple is around 800 years old, built near a river. Unique architecture – made without cement, using the interlocking stone technique. Then we continued our drive and reached Banswara.
